(un(h)armed consisted of contributions by Dewi Sofia and Balik/bayan, Alina Lupu, Breda and Tilburg for Peace, Floor Snels, Bob Entrop and Frank Hamers, Ahmad Mallah and Rebecca Lillich/Krüger, ROTS and Stop Wapenhandel.
Together with visitors, they explored strategies for dealing with a world in which the violence of war is a daily reality.
This event was simultaneously a continuation of the first edition of UP IN ARMS in Pakhuis de Zwijger, Amsterdam.
Before the conversations, working groups and performative contributions, a zine by Katja Fred and NotShitPrint was presented as documentation of the first edition.
Whilst wearing Alina Lupu's anti-militarisation merch, we walked to Kasteelplein, where the ritual destruction of the effigy took place with Balik/bayan. At Kasteelplein, Breda and Tilburg for Peace recited a poem by Bertold Brecht and ROTS' crocheted AK47 was collectively unraveled.
