STOP WAPENHANDEL is an independent research and action group that advocates for sustainable security—not based on military power and deterrence, but on resolving the root causes of conflict.

As part of the current exhibition (un(h)armed (April 25 – June 14), Stop Wapenhandel is organizing two workshops:

Saturday, May 16 | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Workshop on the arms trade and militarization in general.

Saturday, May 30 [POSTPONED] | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Workshop on militarization and the military industry in Brabant.

During the workshops, we discuss: 

• Rules and regulations governing the arms trade, how they
  are interpreted, and how they are undermined.
• Insight into Dutch and EU arms exports. Where do arms go
  and who are the most controversial customers?
• The Dutch arms industry. What are the main companies,
  what do they produce? Which companies are based in Brabant? How are they
  supported by the government?
• The (economic, foreign, and military) policies behind
  the arms trade.

Both workshops are free and can be attended separately.
